Hotel Krallerhof - Wellness Extension I
This wellness and sauna complex was built in the basement of the Hotel Krallerhof, and a new indoor pool was created on the ground floor at the same time. This wellness facility envelops visitors in a serene atmosphere, enhanced by the symbiosis of architecture, artistic design, and skillful use of lighting effects. The massive, horizontally layered wall of anthracite-colored slate (Otta Phyllite) creates a connection to the mountain range outside, while the colored LED lighting simultaneously softens the material's weight and creates an impression of lightness. The stone wall extends from the wellness lobby through the entire complex. All facilities, such as baths based on local and Far Eastern methods, the amethyst grotto, steam rooms, and the Finnish sauna, are arranged along this stone guideline. The connection to the mountain world is also intensified by the use of wood, glass, and metal in the overall concept, suggesting durability and permanence. Keeping the eye calm was another criterion, which is implemented in the restrained, pure design.
