Congress Saalfelden
The old event building was to be transformed into a contemporary conference center for a variety of uses. The building currently houses a large hall and several smaller, divisible meeting and event rooms located in the newly constructed attic. This is supported by fishbelly-shaped steel trusses, whose forces are transferred to the sides of the building. The curtain wall is made of corrugated metal with a perforated pattern, thus providing differentiated views from the interior of the building. A special effect is created in the dark and in bright light, where the pattern of the aluminum facade is particularly emphasized. In terms of urban design, the building faces the spacious square in front of it, simultaneously lending it an urban character.
